B14 yacht skiff in CLAYTON, Victoria for sale
B14 off the beach yacht.
The original one-design B14, designed by Julian Bethwaite of 18 ft skiff fame. This example 220 was used as a club racer and in state and national titles. It's in good sailing condition. Comes with a good set of sails (main, jib & spinnaker) and a old spare main and jib. Trailer (un-reg) is designed for this boat. Centreboard is near new, everything else is as shown. Mast is alloy with the glass upper section. All bits are there to sail away, it's just not rigged in the pictures here. Has always been kept in the shed.
These are a very fast and fun yacht. For comparison they are usually faster than a Hobie 16 and close to a 16, if not faster (depending on how good the Hobie sailor is). An absolute blast to sail and capable of sailing faster than the wind ! This boat would make an excellent club racer as a stepping stone to the much more expensive 49er or similar. There are plenty of these about to race against, particularly at Macrae Yacht club near Melbourne.
Yacht is located in Gippsland, east of Melbourne.
The price is negotiable; we need to make room in the shed.
